Anini Beach in Kauai is said to be a popular tourist destination on the Garden Island of Kauai. It is understandable with it being easily accessible, crystal clear water, and the waves break far off on the reef.
Anini Beach in Kauai

Water in this area ranges from 4 feet to 100 feet deep, depending how far out you go. Wind surfers enjoy this place for their sport, although I did not see any when I visited.

This is a great beach to snorkel at being that the water is shallow for a ways, and the water has been tame every time I visit.

Also, the beach has a lot of decently sized trees lining the coast that you can hang out under for a snack or a beach hangout day watching the tide roll in.
There are also bathrooms as you can see in the photo below. Showers are very close to the beach, and I believe you can camp here.

Having visited this beach each time I have been out to Kauai, I have found it to never be very busy. Usually visiting in the end of the year in December, there seems to be less crowds.

Where is Anini Beach in Kauai?
Anini Beach is located on the north side of Kauai, just before arriving to Princeville. Take a few small side roads from the main highway to find this spot. Here is a map below.
What can you do at this beach?
Check out the trees that line the beach. Go for a walk along the beach and check out the beach park area. You can check out the shore for coral, and rocks and other sea debris that wash up.
Bring your snorkeling equipment, there is a large coral reef you can snorkel around to see all the wildlife underwater. Bring a snack too as this place has awesome seating areas, or you can sit on the beach and snack.
Have lunch or a snack here!

You can also bring a bag with you and help to keep the beach clean and pick up some trash. It doesn’t sound like much fun, but it helps and if a local sees you doing it they may have mad respect for you.
Check out the trees along this beach!

The sand on the beach is soft on your feet, and feels great. Make sure to go barefoot here, and feel the beautiful Hawaii sand. As you get close to the water the small pebbles and sea debris can be found. This is where you can also find some coral on the shore.
For a little more info on this beach you can check out Kauai.com it will have a little more info for you to check out.
Walk along the shoreline!

A small warning when you visit.

The photo above was taken on a previous trip to Anini beach when I found this on the shoreline. It is a Portuguese Man O’ War which is similar to a jelly fish and its small size packs a powerful punch of you touch the tentacles. This one was about the size of a half dollar.
It will not likely kill, but the pain is long lasting and leaves welts on the skin. Hot water will help to relieve the pain if you are to come in contact with one.
Never the less, Anini Beach is a beautiful and peaceful beach to visit on the north shore of Kauai filled with plenty of activities to do. If you are visiting Kauai in the near future, I highly suggest you spend part of your day at Anini Beach. I have never been disappointed making a stop to chill at this beach.
